Students will be tested on both verbal and quantitative skills and a competitive GMAT score is the first barrier to entry for the top business programs that education has to offer.

The importance of the GMAT also introduces a high level of competition, as every person across the globe who is pursuing a graduate degree in business is also taking this test. That is why students preparing for the test also call in the aid of one of the many prep courses offered by a slew of different companies, as an advantage can make or break a score and admittance to the business school of your dreams.

Getting Ready for the GMAT

Test preparation takes on a whole new meaning when studying for the GMAT. It is often recommended that you attack studying for this test with the same work ethic you would as full-time employment. The general consensus is that you spend roughly 2 to 3 months and about 120 hours in study time alone, so it is no surprise that students utilize resources such as prep courses, study books, and even personal tutors to make sure that time did not go to waste.

Survival Guide

Many of the prep materials can be found online, such as guides related to both the mathematics and verbal reasoning, along with other topics, that will be found on the GMAT. These materials are usually put together by people well versed with the exam, such as former MBA students who graduated from some of the top programs in the country, and even former admissions officers. You may also want to inquire about an MBA Admissions consultant like Stacy Blackman Consulting.

Magoosh GMAT

While prep courses are very expensive and sometimes inaccessible for many to students, they are an invaluable resource when it comes to studying. You can take confidence that it is money well spent. One of most highly utilized and recommended course is that of Magoosh. As told by many former students who had Magoosh help increase their grades into their target range, they help you prepare through the use of classes, official practice exams, and 1-on-1 tutors. Through their coursework they will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and hone in on the areas in which you need the most help.

Magoosh Promo Codes

As it is no secret that many of these courses are expensive and most students are lacking in the cash department, many partners and companies have compiled Magoosh promo codes. These promo codes help to lessen the financial strain on those wishing to enroll in the course by discounting various program fees. Since there is such a high demand on program discounts, many of these codes have a limit set on the number of uses, meaning that you must be proactive in securing a code. It will often take a lot of time in finding a valid code and it is encouraged to continuously search the internet for active ones.

Get Searching

The GMAT is a great barrier to entry for many of the top business schools, and prep courses like those at Magoosh can help make your dream school a reality. While many course fees remain high, resources like promo codes have helped make Magoosh more accessible to those trying to achieve their business school goals.

Without a doubt, student loan debt can be very overwhelming. A private student loan consolidation can make that more manageable and free up funds for other activities.

How difficult is the process? It depends on who you work with. You certainly want to work with a company that will look at your current financial situation and help you determine which private student loan consolidation program is best for you.

There are many benefits to a loan consolidation.

When you dive into a loan consolidation, a couple of things can happen:

1. You might get an interest rate reduction.

2. You may have a lower monthly payment.

These two reasons are why people decide to do private student loan consolidation. You can’t go wrong when you have less money to pay back and you don’t have such a huge monthly responsibility. It’s important to know that you can consolidate your federal education loans through private student loan consolidation. You can only combine your private loans for this type of consolidation. With Cedar Education Lending you have a private student loan consolidation program developed and managed to promote a private student loan consolidation and refinancing opportunity for college graduates with private student loan debt.

As it states on FinAid.com, since most private education loans do not compete on price, a private consolidation loans is merely replacing one or more private education loans with another. So the main benefit of such a consolidation is obtaining a single monthly payment. Also, since the consolidation resets the term of the loan, this may reduce the monthly payment (at a cost, of course, of increasing the total interest paid over the lifetime of the loan).

There are many in advantages to private student loan consolidation programs. The question is will you take advantage of them!

After highlighting the advantages of student loan consolidation, conducting a careful debt consolidation company review is essential to identify a trustworthy partner for this financial strategy. Such reviews and resources will provide insights into various companies’ reliability, customer satisfaction, and the effectiveness of debt consolidation. Understanding these aspects is vital in making the right decision that aligns with your financial goals and offers the best terms for your situation. Choosing a company with positive reviews and a strong track record can ensure a smoother consolidation process, ultimately leading to a more manageable and efficient way to tackle your student loan debt.

But, having some inkling certainly makes your life a lot easier because it gives you more time to plan and strategize in terms of options for college and potential graduate school, as well as keeping in mind the double importance of applying for scholarships to cover all that tuition.

If you have any gut feeling that you might want to pursue a career in business (and maybe even go to graduate school), here are a few key tips and things you should keep in mind:

Make sure that whatever colleges you are applying to have a strong business program.

Even if you are not totally sure what area you might want to go into, if you look at schools that rank highly in terms of their overall business school program, then this can give you the peace of mind that whatever major you choose will give you the education you deserve.

Do some research early on about whether or not it might make sense to continue on to get an

MBA after completing your undergraduate degree.

Getting an MBA is something that is certainly not required if you pursue an undergraduate degree in a business major, however, depending on what your major is, getting that extra qualification could be an important stepping stone to help you establish yourself in that field. Try to do some research on this as early as you can, because this can definitely impact your choice for where you complete your undergraduate degree if cost is something that matters to you.

Plus, many schools offer MBA programs that can act as an extension of your undergraduate program, so this is something else to consider which might impact your choice for where you obtain your bachelor’s in business.

Know that your GMAT scores are valid for 5 years.

This is a great thing! Because the scores for the GMAT (the exam that most students must take as a part of their MBA applications) last for so long, this means that you can attempt to be strategic in terms of when you want to start studying for it.

Maybe one semester in your junior year of college you have a slightly smaller course load; this would be an ideal time to perhaps get acquainted with the exam and start studying, because it would lessen the burden and pressure of doing it later on during a more stressful semester.

Regardless of whether or not you know if you want to pursue an MBA, you should still be applying for scholarships.

As a high-school student, you should definitely be hopping on the applying-for-scholarships wagon! Not only can you get started with trying to earn money and chip away at your undergraduate degree costs, but if you get into a rhythm of searching and applying early on, then it will be much easier to keep up once you get to college and have to potentially look forward towards graduate school. If you are relatively new to the scholarship game, check out this list of great scholarships high school seniors should apply for.

One of the questions we get asked a lot is when is it a good time to apply for scholarships? The answer is…..in high school! There are a few reasons why.

If you are searching for scholarships for high school juniors, you get a head start getting more familiar with the process and if you end up getting a scholarship, it might affect your decision on which colleges to apply to. Believe it or not, there are quite a few scholarships out there that are targeted to high school juniors just like you.

It should come as no surprise though that scholarships for high school seniors are more readily available. Again, don’t wait till you start your college application to start your scholarship search- start the process early. There is no reason why you can’t take some time the summer before you senior year and really start digging in and applying to as many scholarships that you are eligible for.

You also want to stay organized, that’s why we recommend using a scholarship tracker to keep your scholarship applications in order.

As the saying goes, “The early bird gets the worm” – or the scholarship in this case!

With the tuition costs of college and university going up and not showing any signs of slowing down, the importance of a scholarship is higher than ever before. While scholarships have always been the saving grace for most financially strapped families who hope to send their children to some form of higher education, the prices they are forced to pay have reached unprecedented levels, often exceeding the annual income for some families. One helpful tool for students are monthly scholarships which are those that allow prospective recipients to apply, and a winner picked, each month. Below are some of the most accessible and popular monthly scholarships available to future or current undergraduates.

1. You Deserve it Scholarship by Scholarship Owl

Scholarship Owl provides one of the simplest monthly scholarships out there, as the requirements to enter this scholarship start and stop by simply creating and submitting your application. That’s it, that’s all you have to do, and your name is registered and eligible. Winners are picked at random each month, with the deadline landing within the second to last or last day of each month. If you miss the deadline for the current month, your application is simply rolled over into next month’s pool. Additionally, winners will also receive a month free of Scholarship Owl’s services.

2. Scholarship Points Scholarship by Scholarshippoints.com

This scholarship chooses winners randomly each quarter of the year. All students have to do is fill out a registration form on Scholarship Point’s website and they will be automatically entered into the $1,000 scholarship drawing.

3. Cappex Easy College Money Scholarship

Cappex’s Easy College Money Scholarship is a monthly scholarship open to US high school students who are going to enroll in a college or university.
